Pro-Bono Work

Hope Village
I was presented with the unique opportunity of participating in the design of an orphanage in Uganda, by some missionary friends. This pro-bono project allowed me to explore the vernacular architecture of Uganda and design in a style completely new to me. These thatch roof, cmu and stucco homes are laid out on the site in a manner to protect the children and allow for free play, education, and growth. This project was a lot of fun and exposed me to a whole new world of design, strife, and ultimately, joy. Please feel free to visit www.hopevillageuganda.blogspot.com for more information.

New Life Center Church
I was approached by an acquaintance to help design a church building for a ministry in Cambodia. The building takes cues from the local vernacular by raising up on piloti and using local building techniques and materials. The images I created are currently being used to raise funds to construct the building.
